Flights can quickly take up a big part of your travel budget, so finding good deals makes a real difference. These are the tools we use to compare prices quickly and spot real savings – not discounts that vanish overnight.

Our go-to for comparing airlines and dates at a glance. Ideal when we’re open to different travel days to save money.
Google Flights

Accommodation
A good stay can completely change how a trip feels. We usually look for places that are comfortable, well located, and reflect the character of the destination. These are the sites we use most when booking our stays.

Booking.com
Our go-to for most trips. It offers a wide range of boutique hotels, guesthouses, and apartments, often with flexible cancellation options.

Vrbo
Similar to Airbnb, great for finding private stays or entire homes, especially when we want more space and a quieter atmosphere at a great price.

Expedia
Similar to Booking.com, but we sometimes compare prices here before booking. It’s also handy if you want to bundle flights and accommodation in one place.
Tours & local experiences
We love discovering destinations through the people who live there. Booking with local guides adds perspective, authenticity, and often turns a good trip into a memorable one.

GetYourGuide
Our go-to for well-organized tours and skip-the-line activities, from day trips to cultural experiences. We have used it many times!

Viator
Similar to GetYourGuide, but we often compare both to find the best price or time slot for the best activities.

EatWith
Perfect for connecting with locals through food experiences, from home-cooked dinners to small group cooking classes.

Local tour operators
Some tour operators aren't present on platforms such as GetYourGuide, Viator and EatWith. When we find operators we recommend, we include them in our blogposts about the destination.
Transport
Getting around is a big part of any trip, whether it’s a scenic drive, train journey, or quick city transfer.
Before booking anything, we always recommend planning your itinerary first, it helps avoid paying for a rental car during the days you’ll stay put in a city. These are the platforms we use to compare options and plan our routes efficiently.

Discover cars
Our go-to for renting cars abroad. It’s easy to compare prices, read clear insurance details, and choose the level of coverage that fits your trip.

Omio
Best for booking trains, buses, and ferries in one place. Ideal for comparing prices and travel times for longer routes. Best used in Europe.

Busbud
Focused entirely on buses. Great for finding reliable long-distance routes across countries with verified operators and reviews at a great price.

12GO
Handy for local and regional connections where smaller transport companies don’t appear on larger platforms.
Photography and videography
Capturing the places we visit is a big part of how we share our travels. We lean towards gear that’s lightweight, flexible, and capable of creating both stunning stills and dynamic video.

DJI Mini 4 Pro
Our go-to drone for smooth, easy aerial footage on the road. We love how it lets us capture entire landscapes without hauling heavy gear.

Insta360 X5
We use it to capture full 360° shots that show the entire scene. It's perfect for hikes, drives, or moments when we both want to be in the frame.

Sony ZV-E10
Our current video camera. It handles 4K well, autofocus is amazing, and it’s compact enough to carry on long days with a long battery.

Canon EOS R
We use this camera for photos. It’s reliable, easy to handle, and delivers beautiful image quality.

Tripod
Makes it possible to get well-composed couple photos or long exposures.

Small but essential, especially when switching continents with different sockets.
