Best time to visit Balangan Beach

We always have difficulty finding the right time to visit a beach. That’s why we’ve collected information on the DRY and WET seasons so you can pick the time you like best! For us, it’s definitely the dry season.

Dry Season: April to September

Bali’s dry season runs from April to September, and it’s the best time to visit Balangan Beach.

During these months, you can expect SUNNY skies, WARM temperatures, and lower humidity levels, making it ideal for sunbathing, swimming, and exploring the island’s many attractions. The dry season also brings consistent swells, which means it’s perfect for surfers looking to catch some EPIC WAVES.

INSIDER TIP: Our favorite time to visit Balangan Beach is during the early part of the dry season, around May/June. The weather is just right, and the crowds haven’t reached their peak yet, allowing us to truly enjoy the beach and nature.

Wet Season: October to March

While the wet season in Bali spans from October to March, don’t let that deter you from visiting Bingin Beach!

Although you might encounter occasional RAIN showers, they’re typically short-lived and followed by bright, sunny skies. The LUSH greenery and dramatic landscapes are even more vibrant during this time, creating a captivating backdrop for your tropical escape.

However, if you’re not a professional surfer, be aware that the waves might NOT be as consistent during the wet season. But fear not, there are still plenty of activities to keep you entertained, such as yoga classes, cultural excursions, and indulging in amazing local cuisine.

3. Photography Opportunities

Balangan Beach presents fantastic opportunities for photography enthusiasts. From capturing the stunning sunsets over the horizon to the crashing waves against the cliffs, you’ll find plenty of picturesque scenes to capture and cherish.

Here are some INSIDER TIPS on how to best shoot a sunset at a beach!

  • Use a Variety of Focal Lengths: This allows you to capture the scene from different perspectives and include various elements.

  • Rule of Thirds: Position the horizon along one of the horizontal lines rather than in the middle of the frame for a more balanced and interesting shot.

  • Use Off-Camera Flash: If you’re including portraits in your sunset photos, using off-camera flash can help to fill in shadows caused by the backlighting.

  • Lower ISO and Slow Shutter Speed: Landscape photographers often opt for a lower ISO and a slow shutter speed. This approach will give your sunset photos stronger tones and sharper detail.

  • Straight Horizon: It’s important to get your horizon lines as straight as possible when shooting at the beach.

  • White Balance: Change from auto white balance to the shade setting for richer and warmer colors.

4. Local Vendors
